Adrian brings over 25 years of experience across business, academia, charity and public policy.
His work sits at the intersection of strategy, sustainability and regional development, often bringing together business, government, academia and civil society.
A member of the British Academy of Management (BAM). Adrian works independently and also with his advisory company Be.Partners for larger or international engagements.

In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, swimming and holidays with his family hiking in the Spanish Pyrenees.

Teaching & Experience
- Formally an Associate Professor at the University of Northampton, teaching Strategy & International Business.
- Active in regional development projects linking the South East Midlands with key Chinese cities and provinces under an innovative multi-stakeholder regional collaboration strategy.
- Taught at Aston University, the Hotel School, Lausanne and HEC, Paris, and was an external examiner at the University of Buckingham and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA, now The Governance Institute) – for whom he co-authored a textbook entitled ‘Strategy in Practice’.
- Research interests are in the area of corporate citizenship – issues surrounding CSR-ESG and responsible and inclusive capitalism.
- The creation and measurement of social value and ‘collective impact’ in which the public-private-academic-social sectors work together to produce solutions for the long-term prosperity of the community.
- I have undertaken research with Grant Thornton and have worked on a project to measure the social impact of employee-owned businesses.

Appointed a Deputy Lieutenant (DL) in 2017
